Aepona Shortlisted for World Communication Award

Belfast, UK, 8th October 2008 — Aepona, the leading supplier of telecom service layer products and solutions to Telcos globally, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as a finalist in the World Communication Awards Best Technology Foresight category for its Telecom Web Services Platform.
The World Communication Awards recognise the companies and individuals responsible for the innovations, achievements and great new services that are helping to build tomorrow’s industry. The “Best Technology Foresight” category was open to fixed and mobile operators, as well as equipment vendors and developers of software solutions, hence Aepona faced strong competition to be selected as finalist.

Aepona’s Telecom Web Services Platform is a carrier-grade software solution that allows operators to open up their networks to third party developers, web-based service providers and Enterprises, in a controlled, standards-based and billable manner. The platform has been chosen by Tier 1 operators such as Sprint, TELUS and Bell Canada to enable them to drive service innovation through collaboration with partners, enable faster time to market for new services, and to dramatically reduce the cost of onboarding third party application developers and service providers.

The winners of the World Communication Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London, United Kingdom, on November 26th, 2008.
